Petunia the Plesiosaur

Petunia is 12 cm long. Her pattern is written in American crochet notation. She is made with 4 ply wool using a 2 mm hook.

Head

Round 1: 4 sc in a magic ring (4 stitches)

Round 2: sc in each stitch (4 stitches)

Round 3: increase in the first two stiches, sc in the next two stitches (6 stitches)

Round 4: increase in first 3 stitches, sc in the next 3 stitches (9 stitches)

Round 5: sc in each stitch (9 stitches)

Round 6: sc in the first stitch, decrease the next stitch together – repeat (6 stitches)

Stuff the head

 

Neck

Round 7: sc 3, chain 4, slip stitch into the stitch 3 behind the stitch the chain originates from

Rounds 8 – 12: sc in each stitch (6 stitches) (5 rounds)

Round 13: chain 5, slip stitch into the stitch 3 behind the stitch the chain originates from

Rounds 14 – 18: sc in each stitch (7 stitches) (5 rounds)

Stuff the neck

 

Join wool in the two holes in the neck and decrease around to close them. Fasten off and sew closed.
