Fluffy/Cerberus

Some friends bought a Harry Potter advent calendar for work. Each day in December they would open a door and find a new Harry Potter figurine. They wanted to continue enjoying it in the new year so I suggested that I make new figures to go behind the doors. So I kinda signed myself up to design 24 Harry Potter figurines :/ We’ll see how we go.

This patterns uses a 2mm hook and grey and blue 4 ply wool. It is written in American crochet notation. The finished doggy is 3 cm tall and 6 cm long.

With grey 4 ply wool

Head

Round 1: 6sc in a magic ring (6 stitches)

Rounds 2 – 3: sc in each stitch (6 stitches) (2 rounds)

Round 4: increase in every stitch (12 stitches)

Round 5: sc in each stitch (12 stitches)

Round 6: decrease around (6 stitches)

Neck

Round 7 – 8: increase in the first two stitches, (decrease two stitches together) x 2 (6 stitches) (2 rounds)

Stuff the head and neck

Body

Round 9: increase in every stitch (12 stitches)

Round 10: sc in the first stitch, increase in the next stitch – repeat (18 stitches)

Rounds 11 – 17: sc in each stitch (18 stitches) (7 rounds)

Round 18: sc in the first stitch, decrease the next two stitches together – repeat (12 stitches)

Stuff the body

Round 19: decrease until the hole closes.

Fasten off, weave in end.

Legs (make 4)

Round 1: 6sc in a magic ring (6 stitches)

Round 2: sc in each stitch (6 stitches)

Round 3: sc in each stitch, (decrease two stitches together) x 2 (4 stitches)

Rounds 4 – 5: sc in each stitch (4 stitches) (2 rounds)

Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Stuff the legs.

Sew the legs onto the body

Tail

Attach the wool, chain 6, sc 5 back along the chain to the body. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Ears

Attach the grey 4 ply wool to the head, chain 1, dc, sc (all in the same stitch). Fasten off, weave in the ends.

Now make two more heads and necks and sew them onto the body.

Embroider the eyes, all 6 of them.
