I made this tiny gecko as a toy for my cat Bella. He is 9 cm long. I made him using a 1.25 mm hook and thin cotton (maybe 4 ply?). This pattern is written in American crochet notation.

Round 1: chain 4 (one is a turning chain), sc 2 along the chain, increase in the last chain, sc 1 along the other side of the chain, increase in the last chain (7 stitches)
Round 2: sc in the first 3 stitches, increase in the next stitch, sc in the next 2 stitches, increase in the last stitch (9 stitches)
Rounds 3 – 4: sc in each stitch (9 stitches)
Round 5: sc in the first 3 stitches, decrease the next two stitches together, sc in the next 2 stitches, decrease the last two stitches together (7 stitches)
Round 6: sc in the first 2 stitches, decrease the next two stitches together, sc in the next stitch, decrease the last two stitches together (5 stitches)

For each toe attach the cotton to the end of the leg and chain 2 stitches. Do this five times. Weave in the ends.
Assembly
Sew the legs to the body. Embroider the eyes.
