Benny the butterfly

It’s the start of spring, so it seemed appropriate to make a butterfly. This pattern uses 4 ply wool and a 2 mm hook. It is written in American crochet notation. The finished butterfly is 6.5 cm long. You could turn the butterfly into a brooch, a hair clip, a key ring or a cat toy or use it as a child’s toy 🙂

A crochet butterfly in its natural crochet habitat.
